Bishop’s Legacy Society
In 2010 as one of his final actions as the Eighth Bishop of the Diocese, the Right Reverend Bruce Caldwell will honor the formation of the Bishop’s Society’s inaugural class.
The Inaugural class of the Bishop’s Society will gather with Bishop Caldwell on Sunday April 18 in Casper for worship, a light lunch and then be treated to the Bill Cosby show at the Casper Events Center.
Wyoming Episcopalians are eligible for inclusion in the society through planned giving (usually by Will, Trust or life insurance) to the Diocese, the Foundation, a local parish, or any other Episcopal entity (such as Episcopal Relief and Development, Thomas the Apostle Center or HR Camp Foundation). We will need confirmation from you of your eligibility no later than March15, 2010.
If you believe you are qualified for membership recognition, please complete and return the attached form:
Here is an artist’s impression of how the plaque will appear:
Much like a healthy tree, the branches (local churches) receive nourishment from the sun and nutrients through the trunk from the roots. The branches bear much good fruit. The trunk (the diocese) supports the branches and guides them towards the sun. The roots (the foundation) gather moisture and nutrients available in the soil that will sustain the system. Bishop’s Legacy Society Members feed and nourish the roots, providing for long term health of the tree itself. Gifts by Members support the system here and abroad.
